"Neurodegenerative diseases, such as dementia, constitute a major burden on society, both in monetary costs and the suffering of patients and their relatives. Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of dementia, is one of the most devastating healthcare problems facing western society.

Advances in MR neuro imaging techniques play a key role in improved understanding of the disease process, in the development of new methods for early and differential diagnosis, and for improved prognosis.

In this workshop, advances in neuroimaging, and their impact on the managment of neurodegenerative disease, will be discussed"
